THANHGAS – OVER 65 YEARS ACCOMPANYING VIETNAM’S GAS INDUSTRY
Vietnam Industrial Gas Joint Stock Company (THANHGAS), formerly known as Yen Vien Oxygen Plant, was established on August 21, 1959, as the first unit to produce and supply Oxygen and Nitrogen for medical and defense purposes in Northern Vietnam.
From a modest plant, THANHGAS has continuously expanded its scale, modernized technology, and affirmed its position as a leading prestigious brand in the field of medical and industrial gases in Vietnam.
DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES
- 1959Established Yen Vien Oxygen Plant – the first medical gas production unit in Northern Vietnam.
- 1991Constructed new manufacturing plant in Duc Giang – Long Bien.
- 1995Renamed to Vietnam Industrial Gas Company.
- 1999Equitized, marking a new phase of growth.
- 2005Installed gas production line in Nam Dinh.
- 2006Founded subsidiary company and installed new production line in Yen Vien.
- 2008Formed joint venture with Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (Japan)
- 2015Established branch in Da Nang and relocated plant to Bac Ninh.
- 2026Completed expansion of Oxygen plant with capacity of 3,000 tons/month at Tien Son IP – Bac Ninh.

Formed joint venture with Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (Japan) and increased charter capital to 60 billion VND. - 2010
Contributed capital to Japan Vietnam Gas Joint Venture Company Limited North. - 2015
Established branch in Da Nang and relocated plant to Bac Ninh. - 2026
Completed expansion of Oxygen plant with capacity of 3,000 tons/month at Tien Son IP – Bac Ninh.
